APAD- Day 83- Slacker homeowners

I technically kind of like long grass. The thought of manicuring a lawn in a sustainability sort of mind sense, is sort of worthless to me. But alas, you gotta do it sometimes. Especially when your awesome and sweet neighbors mow your front lawn! (and make you feel sort of guilty for not up keeping your own yard!) :)

APAD- Day 64- Critter siblings

I can't tell if this is the look of "Hi, sibling critters!" or "Come out and play so I can toss you around like one of my toys!"

APAD- Day 49- Chickens again

 I can't wait until these gals are able to roam the yard! I'm going to keep them in their coop for a week and then they'll get supervised outings when I am home!

Also, in case you were wondering, the only way I can tell them apart is by their legs. Red has light yellow legs while Ruby has darker orangish yellow legs.

APAD- Day 48- Chicken homework

I have had these books since we built the chicken coop... and that was about 3 years ago! (see post from that day http://thaophotography.blogspot.com/2011/06/053011-apad-chicken-coop.html )

But now I have a little chicken reference library to make sure that all of my chicken's needs are met!

APAD- Day 47- Ruby & Red

Meet the new additions to the Belyeu household! Ruby is the one in the back, she is the quieter and more calm one. Red, who we named after Red from the show Orange is the New Black, is the more curious and feisty one! They are Rhode Island Reds!

05/30/11- APAD- Chicken coop

Yay! Stephen with the help of our neighbor Bernie made me a chicken coop while I was away! Can't wait to fill it with chickens! Prepare for lots of chicken photos when they do come! :)
