bum

So it seems like I didn't make it into Eddie Adams Workshop this year. I guess the plus would be that I will have more money to live out my dreams/crazy adventure in a few months. Thats on the conditions that the place I'm going to isn't still in conflict between local officials and militant groups.

Flat tire

I blew out a tire... again! So for some reason flat tires are attracted to me... I've blown out 3 different tires in 3 different states, all within a year. The strange thing... last year when I was in Austin I blew my tire out on June 14, 2006.... and today is June 13th, 2007. Strange huh?

3 Weeks worth of images

So I tried making them as photoj as possible... these are all shot in chronological order.

People watching the end of a football game in a pub off of Portobello Road. (I will have the game and name of the pub when I find my paper!)

Playing with the flower I bought on Portobello Road.

Dad being drawn by an artist by the Eiffel tower.

Sis' lime drink... the more I look at it, the more the droplet bugs me.

Fruit tart!

Jeandré Vosloo, 20, of South Africa, plays the guitar in the T.V. room at the Leinster Inn Hostel in London. Vosloo has been in London for the past four and a half years and currently works as a bartender at The Enterprise.
(The smoke ring pictures didn't really turn out too well... the walls are too light for them to stand out on their own, thanks for letting me shoot it anyways!)

Storm Farrell, 18, of Cape Town, South Africa works on his laptop in the T.V. room of the Leinster Inn hostel. Farrell like a handful of others, are staying at the hostel while they work in London on a work Visa. Farrell who works for customer services at Toyota plans on going to university after his two years are over.

Us crazy documenters! (I just wanted to add this to show scenery :])

------

Jeremy Dundas, 23, has been in London since August 2006 and is currently working as a landscaper, while pursuing his music career in his spare time. Dundas, who graduated from the University of Otago with a bachelors of Music in 2005 describes his type of music as acoustic/pop/rock/surf.
*hint* click on his name to listen to his music.

He posed for me, I shot for him. Fun even deal. Some of them were shot in an attempt to make a modeling portfolio... (technically I'm a bit off on a bunch of them... missing fill card and such.... but I could just be overly critical)

Random alley.

Side of a church. I think this one is my fave... I wish I gave it more room for a vertical.

Wall of a church.

Side of a busy road.

Same road, but shot from across the street.

I love green eyes! Cept it was kind of strange editing this picture and having Storm stare back at me.

Marco Kamers, 25, of Santa Catarina, Brazil plays the guitar and sings outside of the hostel while his girlfriend Melanie Polverelli, 18, of Brazil sits below him and Vanessa Rodriguez, 25, of Valladolid, Spain sits above him. All three are weeklies at the hostel.

Melanie's fun shoes!

---------

Jeremy playing at Viva Viva.

What you can't tell by these pictures are....

that it was crazy dark.... I was shooting on 1600 ISO...

and between 13th -50th of a second...

but they turned out pretty well! :)

Intermission... scary face!

This is what sunrise at 4:50 am looks like. Twas really pretty... and really dewy. Jeremy, thanks for braving the cold and waking up early with me!

I've learned that Hyde Park is pretty, but that the trees sometimes don't help me.

I couldn't remember which one of the two you preferred more Jeremy... so I guessed!

I like this one... It reminds me of an ad or something... all I need now is a bottle of cologne at the bottom or something!

Golden rays of sun + early morning fog = a golden field!

So maybe I'm over doing the silhouette... but I can't resist when the lights that pretty! I mean really, check out that rim light on him! :)

I love orangish-red gerbera daisies, they make me happy!

Fun vacation, thanks to everyone who let me into their lives for just a few moments to take their picture and also to hang out.

If you are looking through the pics, you should leave comments. I love comments! :)
