Sergio Larrain. First of all he shot PORTOBELLO ROAD in 1956!!! It was great looking at those pics! He had some pictures of animals and window and mirror reflections, which of course I truely enjoyed. What I think I learned most from him was that taking pictures of places and people during a time will of course make so much more of a difference 20-30 years down the line. It also makes me regret not taking pictures of home (texas) because it is already changing more that I'll know. A whole shopping strip is already runnning parallel to the main road... it used to be pure green grass, now its just cement and cinderblocks. When I get home... I'm being more of a tourist, or rather I'm gonna explore my neighborhood, I definitely take it for granted sometimes!

Yes it's me. I was going crazy on Myspace the other day and looking for people from high school. It's good to hear that your coming to Austin this summer, that truly is the best time to live in this city. If you are still here in September you have to, have to check out the Austin City Limits Music Festival. It's a three day long event with a multitude of live bands(we are known as the Live Music Capital of the World, after all). I got some free tickets this year and got to see Coldplay and Franz Ferdinad, it was freaking sweet.
So yea unfortunately the rest of Texas feels as though the homosexual population should be treated like 2nd class citizens. That's ok though because Austin(or Travis County) voted with a 60-40 margin. That means 60 % of the people in this lovely city were against the ammendment. It's sad that the capital of a state goes towards a positive direction while the rest continously stay in a state of ignorance. I'll digress because I could go on for hours about this.
Lastly, I checked your blog out(obviously) the pictures are absolutely amazing. I wish we would have talked more in school, but I've learned that back then I was a completely different person from who I am now. Maybe the city did it to me, or maybe life, I really don't know. I'm gonna link you so I can see your pictures and see how life is on the other side of the ocean. Well let me know when your going to be here so I can give ya my number.
